Ahem. It’s been awhile. A long while. ::blush:: And yes, I’m admitting this even though I’ve read that a good blogger doesn’t admit the obvious hiatus in posts. I am embarrassed.
I really don’t have much of an excuse except that life kind of swept me off my feet for awhile and it’s taken me some time to get back up again. I’ve gotten behind on a number of things around the house. And then we went on holiday for 2 weeks.
I have managed to stay on top of my email however… Mostly because we recently sent out Leon’s and my exciting news.
“Exciting news?” you ask. Yes. Exciting news. If you’ve missed all the action on Facebook or in your inbox, we’re going to have a baby by mid-March of next year!
And this is why life has swept me off my feet. Finding out I’m pregnant was a bit more overwhelming than I expected and then the whole 1st trimester thing with feeling sick and tired all the time. I’m feeling a lot better now and not so overwhelmed now that we’ve shared our news with others. I think I’m ready to get my life back in gear. It hasn’t been too difficult the last month or so. Just overwhelming. I slept a lot. And God is good.

So to begin getting myself back into gear, I’m taking a challenge I found through one of the blogs I read. The challenge is to make the most of the morning hours by starting out right with the Lord. For women who are already moms, the goal is to start out mornings waking up for their children rather than to them. I thought it was a good way to get myself back on track. And besides, these habits might be good to make before “Little Bump” comes along. My challenge will be continuing these habits while I’m in the US on furlough.
The challenge basically requires you to check in every day, and then you receive encouragement from your accountability captains and others throughout the week. Could be good fun! I think…
Anyone else want to join me??
