What was the last thing you made? What materials did you use? Is there something you want to make, but you need to clear some time for it?
I was really excited about today’s prompt because I’ve recently (re)discovered my love of making things by hand. I love nurturing my creative and artistic side.
The last thing I made was a little Christmas tree for our mantle. Leon and I are going away for Christmas, so we didn’t see any sense in purchasing a big artificial tree this year.

I crocheted several strips of the green and cream colours and then pinned them to a styrofoam cone with macramé pins. I can’t take credit for this idea. I found it on this website:

Something I would like to make is a scrapbook. Specifically, I want to make a scrapbook of our wedding photos. I haven’t started it yet, but I just purchased an album to put it in! :) In a sense I need to clear some time for it because I haven’t gotten it done yet.
For the next year I hope to do more hand-made stuff. I think it has more meaning and is appreciated more if it’s hand-made.
