Have you ever thought about this? What an honor that we are called to enjoy God. And we do that by bringing glory to Him. It’s truly comforting to remember that God’s one goal for us is Himself because He truly is the greatest good.

He loves us enough to call us to Himself. He wants us to glorify Him by enjoying Him. That puts everything else about this life into a different perspective. Our end goal is not a good career, or where to live, or a good marriage, or any other earthly desires. As long as God is glorified and we are enjoying Him, all else is meaningless. He can certainly call us to go somewhere, do something, minister to this person, start a business. However those are all avenues to call us to Himself.
