I’ve been trying to do a bit more reading than I usually do this year, and so I thought I’d share with you about the book I’ve been reading lately. I’m not very good at writing book reviews—maybe all those book reports I had to write in English class growing up has ruined me. So I’ll share with you as I’m currently reading my books. Hopefully I can continue this trend of reading books and sharing them with you!

The book I’m currently reading is God’s Priorities: Living Life from the Lord’s Prayer by J. John. Leon and I received this book as a gift for Christmas, and admittedly, I was a bit doubtful of the book at first. Thankfully, it’s been a good read so far! J. John talks about what each part of the Lord’s prayer means and shares insights for applying it to our own lives.
Recently I’ve been reading the chapter on “Pardon” (Forgiveness), and this quote stuck out to me:
“Know that you are generously forgiven. As a result, generously forgive.”
It’s important to realise that… not just when forgiving others, but when forgiving yourself and letting God forgive you as well.
The other parts of the Lord’s prayer J. John touches on are: Privilege, Praise, Praise, Purpose, Provision, Protection, and Perspective (Don’t you just love the alliteration?).
Looking forward to finishing this book!
